In 1964, the Government of Maharashtra granted a plot of land to the University in Bombay to set up a campus at Juhu.
The Diploma in Home Science Institute was shifted from Churchgate Campus to Juhu Campus and set up as Sir VithaldasThackersey College of Home Science (SVT) as the first college in Juhu Campus. Today is the autonomous college with Centre for Potential for Excellence.
Juhu Campus houses professional and technical institutions with eight adjoining buildings.
