About J.D.B.I.M.S.R

SNDT Women’s University is the first Women’s University in India and South-East Asia. The University was founded by Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916 for a noble cause of Women’s Education. The first five women graduated in 1921 from this University. Enduring the century old legacy of the University for the cause of women empowerment through access to education, particularly higher education, through relevant courses in the formal and non-formal streams.

Bajaj family has generously donated to the University for the foundation of, Janaki Devi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Research (A Constituent Institute of S.N.D.T. Women’s University). 

" संस्कृता स्त्री पराशक्ति " (An enlightened women are a source of Infinite strength) adhering to the University’s slogan, J.D.B.I.M.S.R., a Management Institute in Pune accelerates the growth of women through cohesive learning for providing an all-inclusive progress of the students and stakeholders. We are having Master of Business Administration (MBA) as our flagship program with 120 intake. We also provide Entrepreneurship Enhancement Program having various short-term courses for skill development of the women.


Being a constituent institute of SNDT Women’s University, and having established with the dignified name of 'Jankideviji Bajaj’, Janaki Devi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Research gets its credibility enhanced. J.D.B.I.M.S.R. provides opaque infrastructure to the students to become industry ready. The Institute has rationalized syllabus to be, at par with industry requirements. The institute has an advantage of the faculty members who are knowledgeable and have rich research, industry and academic experience.

J.D.B.I.M.S.R. is focused in developing high-level ‘knowledge workers’ (term as coined by the Peter Drucker) and creative management leaders and entrepreneurs.
