An exponent of Hindustani classical music for over two decades, Dr.Revati has also been imparting her knowledge and love for music to children and adults alike for over a decade. Here is a brief profile of her work.

EDUCATION
Dr.Revati has completed her Doctoral studies under the able guidance of well-known composer and sitarist, late Pt.Bhaskar Chandawarkar. She had her initial training in classical vocal music from Dr.Mohankumar Darekar. Thereafter she undertook training of the Jaipur-Atrauli tradition from Dr.Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande for 14 years. Later on she undertook training from Dr.Arawind Thatte.

WORK EXPERIENCE

WITH CHILDREN
Dr.Revati aids her musical training with occasional audio-video inputs and regular workshops. Project work is also a part of her training. She also encourages her students to take part in competitions and introduces them to the ‘mehfils’ of classical music. She organises annual performances of her students which are based on different themes.

Her summer music school is a daylong workshop on music and is open to everyone besides her own students. She has also been invited by prestigious institutions like Shamrao Kalmadi High School (Kaveri Kalakshetra), SPIC-MACAY, Raga Nxt and Kalkeri Sangeet  Vidyalay to conduct workshops in different schools in Pune and Dharwad.

THEMATIC CONCERTS
Dr.Revati has also conceived and directed thematic concerts with children- ‘Rang Umaltya Manache’ and ‘Gunjan’. Both these were designed with the aim of promoting interest and love for Indian classical music among children.

PROJECTS
Pursuing her aim of promoting classical music among children, Dr.Revati has also conceptualised ‘Aarambh…the beginning of a musical journey’- a book-cum-CD for beginners in music, especially for children. She has written the story and composed music for this project. She has directed her students for the recording of this project.

MEHFILS AND RECORDINGS
Besides featuring in stage concerts at Pune and at other musical centres in India, Dr.Revati has performed in prestigious music festivals such as-

Pt. Jeetendra Abhisheki Mahotsav(Goa), Ustad Alladiya Khan Mahotsav (Mumbai), Pt.Mallikarjun Mansur Festival (Dharwar), Kalyan-Bhairav Mahotsav (Mangalore), India International Center (New Delhi) Vishakha Sangeet Academy(Vishakhapatnam), Ustad Abdul Karim Khan Mahotsav (Miraj) and Navarasam Music Festival(Kozhikode)

She has also performed for thematic concerts like Barase Badariya, Sumiran and Ram Katha
She also has the following thematic concerts to her credit-
Raag ek Rang Anek – concept and performer
Rangotsav Surancha- concept, composed, directed and performed
Santbaani - concept, composed, directed and performed
Raag Ramayan - concept, composed, directed and performed

Dr.Revati has conceptualised and composed music for the album- ‘Santbaani’ which is a collection of bhajans by Surdas, Meera, Kabir, Sahjobai, Ravidas and Khusro. Pt.Raghunandan Panshikar and Dr.Revati have rendered the vocals for same. Besides she has given classical performance for Raga Nxt, Sadguru Vandana (composer and vocals), Devi Sahstranaam (Vocal), and RaagRachananjali (Vocal)

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. Revati is a University topper in Arts at the SNDT University in the M.A. (Music) program and is also the recipient of the prestigious Kalyanji Gold Medal. She has also been an awardee of the most after-sought Research Fellowship by U.G.C (New Delhi) for her Ph.D. program. She is also a ‘B high’ graded vocalist of A.I.R, Pune. For her contribution to music, Dr.Kamat has been awarded the Gaan-Hira Puraskar, Dadar-Matunga Cultural Center Scholarship and Nanasaheb Deshpande Puraskar.

GRATITUDE
As an expression of her social gratitude, Dr.Revati has conceived of two different themes –
Tapasya – Felicitating the woman behind every musician on the occasion of International Woman’s Day
Swaraangan - The Chotekhani Mehfil – staging house concerts of upcoming musicians
Prerana- Interviews of regular practising musicians for students of music

Anuradha is a well-known vocalist of the Bhendi Bazar Gharana.  She has been trained for 15 years by the veteran musician Guru Pt. T.D. Janorikar, the foremost exponent of the Gharana. During the training period she learnt all the facets of the gayaki from her guru. Currently she is being guided by the well known harmonium maestro and musicologist Dr.  Arawind Thatte.

She is endowed with a rich and mellifluous voice which makes her adept at singing both light and classical music with equal ease. Her sweet, seasoned and pliable voice with easy reach in all the three Saptaks makes her disciplined exposition of the Raags full of aesthetic and emotive content. She is an ‘A Grade ’ artist of A.I.R for Classical Vocal music. And a top grade artist for light music.

Anuradha has performed extensively in many major Indian cities for renouned music organizations and festivals..  Noted among them are. SAWAI GAMDHARVA MAHOTSAV PUNE, VISHNU DIGAMBAR JAYANTI SAMAROHA DELHI, INDIA INTERNATIONAL CENTRE, NCPA AND SANGEET NATAK ACADEMY
She is the recipient of many awards and scholarships like Gaanhira award, Sur Mani award, Manik Varma award. HRD ministry scholarship and the Junior research fellowship awarded by the UGC. 2 Radio Mirchi awards for best upcoming female singer and best female singer for the song MAZE TUZE Film Muramba

She has many CDs to her credit and has also performed in many thematic concerts.  Raag-Maalaa is her music school where she teaches music to aspiring pupils.  She also teaches music online from Kutir School of music.
