Sound system: Students are given free hand to operate the sound system to get technical knowledge and experience.

Library: Rich Library of 400+ books is available to students. Audio library consists of more than 100 LP records. Listening sessions are conducted regularly.

Donors associated with department give awards to promising students and also provide help to financially weak students.
There is a vibrant atmosphere in the department as students are encouraged to arrange concerts, perform at many occasions and participate in competitions. Students of this department have achieved success at the national level Youth Festivals and many national level music competitions.
Department invites Maestros like Pt. Rajan - Sajan Mishra, Pt. Babanrao Haldankar, Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, Pt. Saneev Abhyankar and many more to give their valuable guidance to the students. Experts from the field of Semi classical music like Vid. Kirti Shiledar, Pt.Charudatta Aphale , Pt. Rahul Deshpande have been invited to interact with the students. Workshops and conferences are organized frequently by the department.
