Inauguration of PhD Cell of SNDT Women’s University
The PhD Cell of SNDT Women’s University was inaugurated in 4th of April, 2022 by Ms Sonali Rode, Joint Director, Joint Director, Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai in the presence of the Hon. Vice Chancellor, Prof Ujwala Chakardeo in the Churchgate campus of the University.
Prof Ruby Ojha, Hon. Vice Chancellor of SNDT Women’s University, Registrar Dr. Vandana Sharma, Prof Pradnya Wakpainjan, Head of Affiliation Department and Dr. Manisha Madhava, In-charge PhD cell were present on the occasion. The PhD cell will look into activities relating to PhD programme of the University and will emerge as single point of contact for the PhD Programme. It will also work towards strengthening the PhD programme of the University along the lines of the National Education Policy, 2020.
The Ph.D. Cell was established on 4th April 2022 to strengthen doctoral degree education in the University.
The cell was set up to consolidate all the activities relating to doctoral research; streamlining and strengthening the research process and providing quality research education to doctoral candidates of the University.
It also aims to promote interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary research that addresses the needs of women in particular and society in general.

Update and revise research guidelines of the University in accordance with the UGC guidelines.
