Inauguration of PhD Cell of SNDT Women’s University

A workshop for Ph.D guides of the University and its affiliated college was organized on 15th of March 2022 The workshop was attended by over 150 Research Scholars and guides of SNDT Women’s University. 

Mr Mukul Kantkar, National Organising Secretary of Bharatiya Shikan Mandal was the Keynote speaker for the Programme. 

The workshop also involved an interactive session, where research supervisors and guides were informed about the details of PhD process at SNDT Women’s University. This was followed with a demonstration of on the PhD process by the Exam department by the exam section and an interactive session with the guides and scholars. The Programme ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rajni Nair.

An Orientation program for doctoral scholars and supervisors organized jointly by the Ph.D. Cell and IQAC of SNDT Women’s University was held on 17 October 2022

Speakers for the program included, Prof. S. Chandrasekhar, from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai; Prof. Anuradha Majumdar, Dean, Science and Technology, University of Mumbai; Prof. Ashish Pandey, from Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay and Prof. D. Parthasarathy of the Department of Humanities and Social Science, IIT Bombay.

Inter and trans disciplinary research in the context of NEP, 

Indian Knowledge System and 

Feminists Perspectives in research. 

Orientation  to the guidelines of research in SNDT Women’s University.

Guidelines for PhD

The Ph.D. cell initiated the process of formulating guidelines for Research Centers of the University.
