Professor Shashikala Wanjari
Vice Chancellor,
SNDT Women’s University
Dear Sisters,
Being a Vice Chancellor of Southeast Asia and India’s first Women’s University, Shreemati Nathibai Damodar
Thackersey Women's University, it is my pleasure to reach you at a distance.
These are challenging times and you are keeping the family and society going. Being professionals and individuals with immense potential, you contribute to national development and in such challenging times, you are taking the burden of keeping the family sane and happy. Being individual in roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law you are keeping everyone going through this times feeding them, providing them clean environments and sustaining them to face the future. It is because of you that all of us will come out of the times of being locked into our own house to save ourselves and others.
Your contributions are uncountable and unnoticed. Your stories are not told many times and when told, get selective narration. You do so much for family and society. In these times of crisis I am sure you would get the much deserved attention for everything that you do for everyone in your family tirelessly. I am sure people would recognize how hard it is to keep doing that work every time, every day and still smile at the end of it. But please do not forget to take care of yourself. Stay safe and rest whenever you can because you are the backbone
of family. You are very important and you cannot afford to break down.
I am hopeful that this too shall pass. India will survive and we all will come out of these soon.
Take care of yourself and stay safe,
Shashikala Wanjari
