M.A. in Geography

M.A I Year:
• Graduate in Geography from this university or any other recognized University. Students from other subjects should have completed 8 courses of 4 credits each with at least one course of practical of 4 credits at graduation.

M.A II Year:
• For a student from this University-should have cleared first year in the same subject or has passed with admissible ATKT.

Candidates have to appear for the Personal Interview.  Total merit calculation is on the basis of Marks obtained for Personal Interview (20%) and Marks obtained for the Degree (80%). Admissions are in accordance with the list compiled while taking into account (total merit as mentioned about).  Reservation policy is applicable. 

Intake for Departments:

• Aided Programme : 25 per specialization
• Self-Financed Programme : 30  (Diploma and Certificate Courses)

To introduce the student to the complex dimensions of Geography and also to understand and evaluate the association between branches of Geography and socio-economic attributes, Research and social well-being.
