Subtheme A: Developing Student Leadership and
Organizations
This sub-theme focuses on the diverse ways by which
student leadership potential can be developed through
student unions and subject associations. These
associations can facilitate the development of student
leadership potential and teaching-learning programmes.
These organizations can also systematically build
bridges with the alumnae and industries to facilitate
student career growth
Subtheme B: Opportunities and Possibilities: Student
Professional Growth
An allied concern emerging out of subtheme A is the
question of the future educational and career growth of
students. Sub Theme B examines the many ways by which
the University could facilitate recruitment and career
advancement of students. A strong link with industries
will improve quality of education through curriculum
development and facilitate internship, summer placements
and campus recruitment. This sub-theme specifically
addresses the question of enhancing quality education
and enhancing student career options.
Subtheme C: Getting Connected: Changing Face of the
Classroom
Sub-theme C addresses the multi-varied challenges of
education for the 21st century of developing suitable
teaching learning programmes and effective pedagogic
tools. It examines the possibilities offered by
education technology to maximize learning options for
students, develop effective learning strategies through
face-to–face and online mode and expand access to higher
education.
Sub-Theme D: Developing an Inclusive Model of Higher
Education
Recognizing the potential of higher education to ensure
socio-economic justice, sub-theme D examines the
question of educational exclusion. It identifies reasons
limiting educational access for special needs groups
(those with certain physical or intellectual impairment)
and other communities discriminated on the basis of
their gender, caste and ethnic identities. The panel
aims to develop proactive solutions for educational
inclusions.
