| The course is designed to enable the student teachers to: • Explain the nature, process and philosophy of education • Analyze the role of educational system in the context of modern ethos like democracy, socialism and secularism • Explain the concept of Inclusive Education. • Plan a curriculum for specific groups of children with disabilities and develop skills in curriculum adaptation. • Describe the typical development of individuals from conception to late adulthood and examine the factors that adversely affect human growth and development • Discuss the importance of psychological process in the learning and education of special children • Explain the concept and principles in curriculum development and develop, evaluate and implement a given curriculum • Describe the historical perspectives of services and implement Inclusive practices for children with Sensory, Neurological, Locomotor impairment, developmental disabilities and the gifted. • Analyze and evaluate major theoretical perspectives and legislatures that explains human rights and discuss issues and policies related to gender and disabilities • Develop competence to design, execute research in specialeducation |
