M.A. in Music

Graduate in Music from any Recognized University

OR

Graduate in any subject other than music & seeking Sangeet Visharad or equivalent degree in music.

OR

Graduate in any subject other than Music and not having any degree in Music but excellent ability in pursuing music and received extensive training in Classical Music from renowned artist at least for 5 years with the recommendation letter from the concerned Guru.

Audition is the main criteria for selection.

• For candidates from Pune - Offline Auditions will be held at the Department of Music,
SNDT Women’s University, Pune Campus, on 26^th June 2023. Carry photocopy of
Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and Certificate of Music Exam, if any.

• For candidates outside Pune - Online Auditions will be conducted. Send your video recording of 10 - 12 minutes to the email id mentioned below, along with scanned copy of Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and Certificate of Music Exam, if any.

• Auditions will be based on following parameters

1. Ability to sing Vilambit Khyal and Chota Khyal with Alap - Tana along with Live Tabla Accompaniment. (Tabla Accompaniment will be provided, if required).

2. Knowledge of Ragas and Talas.

• After selection, only selected candidates have to apply for online registration forms on the University website.
