• Graduate in any discipline from any faculty of any recognised universityas equivalent thereto. • The candidate should pass the Entrance test. |
Admission Forms will be available at the office of Department of Social Work, Churchgate Campus. An entrance exam comprising of a written test, group discussion and personal interview is held. A merit list prepared on the basis of candidates performance. Those who have appeared for final examinations of graduation and are awaiting results shall be given provisional admission. |

The programme is divided in four semesters (64 credits) spread over two years. In all students are required to complete a combination of core compulsory courses and a few optional courses. The compulsory courses shall provide the students with a sound foundation and understanding of the profession. The compulsory courses are:- 1. History and Ideology of Social Work 2. Communication and Introduction to Audio Visual Media 9. Social Policy and Planning 10. Social Work Research 11. Management of Developmental and Welfare Services 12. Child Rights and Social Work 13. Social Work in the Field of Health 14. Law and Social Work 15. Counselling 16. Field Work Practicum (one in each semester) 17.
