University Hostel |
Located in the lush green campuses of the
University, SNDT Women’s University Hostel
is a home away from home for girls who come
to pursue their dreams in the congested and
fast life of Mumbai. It’s a huge building
with 4 floors and comprising over 150 rooms
which accommodate more than 500 students.
Mess facility is provided within the
building itself. We, at SNDT believe in the
overall development of the students along
with their studies. It is a privilege to see
the students come out of their cocoons and
emerge into confident individuals after a
few years of stay in the hostel. They
develop qualities like leadership,
self-discipline, management and the courage
to face the world under any given
circumstances. Girls come here from
different parts of India from different
backgrounds, stay together and develop the
bond of love and care.
Days of national importance are celebrated
inculcating in students the feeling of
patriotism and love for the country. Also
all regional festivals are celebrated with
great pomp and enthusiasm giving equal
importance and respect to every culture.
Thus, girls in the hostel enjoy freedom but
at the same time also learn to live their
life in a disciplined manner.
The day to day activities of the hostel are
supervised by the Hostel Superintendent and
an Assistant Superintendent. A student’s
committee is also formed every year for
putting light on the issues from the
studentspoint of view and also to assist the
superintendents' in conducting various
activities. |
