Our Goals

To introduce the students to the advanced theories in economics. To equip students with analytical tools of economics to understand the current economic reality with perspective of problem solving. To introduce the tools of empirical analysis. To offer a wide range of courses enabling the students in their pursuit of specialization – e.g. economics of labour, industry, gender, social & physical infrastructure etc. To organise various curricular and co-curricular academic programmes.

To produce this knowledge for solving the problems of the country with special focus on Social justice, Distributive justice and Gender justice.
