Eligibility Admission Procedure
M.A. I Year:
• Graduate in any discipline from any faculty of this
   university or any other recognised university as
   equivalent thereto.
• A candidate for being eligible for admission to M.A. English
   will have to pass English proficiency test.

M.A. II Year:
•  For a student from this University - should have cleared
   first year in the same subject or has passed with
   admissible ATKT.
Open Category Students with 50% and above majoring with English Literature at the BA or equivalent examinations from Universities recognized by the UGC get direct admission to the course. Open Category Students with 50% and above majoring in disciplines other than English at the BA/BSc/BCom or equivalent examinations from Universities recognised by the UGC have to appear for an Advanced English Proficiency Test and score minimum 50% marks in the test to qualify for admission.

The Dept complies with all the rules and regulations of the UGC and the State Government related to admission to students from Reserved Category.
