Value Based Songs
| About Course | Indian Culture has a rich tradition of prayers, Shlokas and Sanskar Geet. These songs create a great impact and help in nurturing the ethical values in the society. Nowadays it is observed that this tradition is becoming weak. In order to revive this tradition and cultivate values through music among the younger generation, the Department of Music Pune proposes to conduct a short-term course of value-based songs. It will include Prayers (in Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit), Sholakas (like Shantipath, asato ma sadgamay, om poornamadah poornamidah, etc.), Sanskar Geet (like vaishnav jan to, shubhankaroti kalyanam, itni Shakti hame dena data etc.), Patriotic Songs (in Hindi, Marathi and various Indian Languages). The course will be conducted twice a week for two hours. |
